Dongling Deng, a special-term research fellow at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, Tsinghua University. He is also a principal investigator at Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute, one of the winners of China’s National Talent Plan. In 2007, he received a double degree in physics and mathematics from Nankai University. In 2015, he graduated from the University of Michigan, and his doctoral dissertation won the Kent M. Terwilliger Memorial Thesis Prize. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in
the Joint Quantum Institute and returned to China to work at Tsinghua University in 2018. His main research interests are quantum artificial intelligence and quantum technologies based on color centers in diamond, and he has published more than 90 papers in Nature, sub-issues of Science, PRL/PRX and other journals.
