Yuan Yao

Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute PI, Postdoctoral Researcher at the National University of Singapore.

Yuan Yao obtained his Ph.D. from the Natural Language Processing Laboratory at Tsinghua University and also holds a bachelor's degree from Tsinghua University. His research focuses on efficient multimodal large models and deep visual-language understanding, leading the development of the MiniCPM-V series of models. His research achievements have been selected as ICLR Spotlight, ECCV Oral, and Nature Communications Editors' Highlights. He has received awards such as the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology, Intel China Academic Achievement Award, and the Cloud Sail Award at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference.
